No hidden taxes, fees, or extra charges will be payable upon completion of your tour, except in cases where the tour extends beyond the booked time at your request. Any additional time will be charged at a rate of £85 per hour.
Payments are accepted via our secure payment link (credit cards, PayPal, and Revolute). If you prefer an alternative method (e.g., bank transfer, direct credit/debit card payment), please indicate your request in the “Further Information” section of your booking enquiry. Note that alternative payment methods may incur bank charges, which are the responsibility of the customer. All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling.
A deposit of 50% of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the scheduled tour date. If a booking is made 7 days or less before the tour date, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking.

Please note: If specialized transport arrangements or pre-booked admission to attractions have been made, the associated costs will be deducted from the final refund amount.
All cancellation notifications must be submitted in writing to Edinburgh Taxi Tours via email or phone. The original person who booked the tour must make the cancellation request. Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. A Confirmation Note of Cancellation will be sent once the refund has been processed. If you do not receive confirmation within 48 hours, please contact us immediately with the following details:
All vehicles are fully insured for passenger and third-party claims under British and Scottish law. However, personal belongings are carried at your own risk, and Edinburgh Taxi Tours is not liable for any loss or damage. We strongly recommend that you secure comprehensive travel insurance to cover any cancellations or unforeseen incidents.
Our tour guides will advise you on the available time during the tour and the time required to ensure a timely return to your ship or tender. If you disregard this advice and miss the designated embarkation time, Edinburgh Taxi Tours will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred to rejoin your vessel at the next port.
In the event that your assigned guide becomes unavailable, we will make every effort to provide a suitable, experienced, and professional alternative. During peak periods, it may be necessary to subcontract with our trusted partners; in such cases, you will be notified in advance.
It is a legal requirement for all passengers in a car or minibus to wear a seat belt. If requested at the time of booking, we can provide child seats at no additional cost. However, securing children in car seats is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Please indicate your need for a child seat in the “Further Information” section of your booking enquiry. Edinburgh Taxi Tours cannot be held responsible for any delays, deviations, or cancellations due to weather conditions. Tours cannot be amended or cancelled solely on the basis of weather unless there is a mutual agreement with the operator. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, no refund will be offered.
Please inform us immediately if you or any member of your group suffers from any illness, allergies, or other medical issues that could affect your safety or enjoyment during the tour. If any special assistance is required due to a disability, please notify us at the time of booking. While we will do our best to accommodate your needs, not all our vehicles may be equipped for wheelchair access. We recommend that passengers with disabilities are accompanied by a caregiver.
We are happy to provide recommendations for accommodation, dining, and attractions that suit your budget and preferences. However, Edinburgh Taxi Tours is not liable for the quality, conditions, or standards of any external establishments or services you choose to use.
Edinburgh Taxi Tours maintains a strict no-smoking policy in all our vehicles. Consumption of food inside the vehicle is not permitted unless a specific agreement has been made at the time of booking and confirmed in writing. Similarly, alcohol is not permitted inside the vehicle under any circumstances. All alcohol must be stowed in the external luggage compartment. In the event that cleaning or valet service is required due to spills or alcohol-related issues inside the vehicle, a charge of £100 will apply.
